GBSLEP holds Annual Conference to showcase progress

The Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership will be holding its Annual Conference at Villa Park on Wednesday June 26.
The event will feature presentations from GBSLEP Chair Andy Street and Deputy Chair Steve Hollis, showcasing the progress the LEP has made over the last 12 months and looking forward to the next 12 months.

It will also form the GBSLEP Annual General Meeting and see the launch of the Annual Report.

Commitment to HS2 project in Queen’s Speech welcomed

The GBSLEP has welcomed the legislation in the Queen’s Speech that represents an important milestone in the creation of the HS2 network.

HS2 would put Greater Birmingham at the heart of a national high-speed network, significantly improving connectivity, local rail capacity and providing an opportunity to create a new industry based on our excellence in advanced manufacturing. Read more »

In addition, the GBSLEP website now has an updated Transport page which includes details of the Greater Birmingham Local Transport Board and Local Pinch Point Fund allocations supported by the LEP.
