Apprenticeship campaign ready to get underway

apprenticeshipsSkills and employment partners in the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership area will next week launch a campaign to promote awareness among employers about the benefits of using Apprenticeship Grants for Employers (AGE).

The GBSLEP received over 3,500 AGE allocations as part of its City Deal last year.
This means employers could receive grants of £1,500 to take on apprentices aged 16 to 24. The 100-day campaign aims to encourage employers to take advantage of the 2,000 AGEs still up for grabs. Read more >

Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme (GBSCP) is now open for applications

green bridgeThe second round of the £20 million Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme (GBSCP) is now open for applications. Green Bridge offers grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 to companies that operate within the green sector or seeking to diversify or set up into this sector, such as renewable energy, low carbon, building technologies, manufacturing, transport and logistics. The first round of Green Bridge saw bids of more than £4.5 million received. Read more >
